Lower Suwannee

On MLK day, Matt and I strapped a canoe on top of our car and headed southwest out of Gainesville for the Lower Suwannee National Wildlife Refuge. We paddled Shired Creek from where it trickled under a road out to the Gulf of Mexico. You can see the creek getting wider and the banks opening up in the photos below. We're heading to the ocean.
