he's processing

Matt finished! It was an honor to run with him up to Grassy Ridge, the last peak. But what I'll remember more - albeit in dream-like fog - is the hike up Mt. Mitchell at one in the morning, the end of his fourth day running. He was cold under my jacket and hauling his legs up the rock steps, and I marveled at the strength of his mind and body.

I had a blast and am thankful the adventure ended safely.

Ecology studies the interrelationship between organisms and their environment. It originates from the German word okologie, first used in 1873.
