checking in

Sorry about the infrequent posting. Matt discovered that I do get wireless on my porch, but it wavers and frustrates me, so I haven't bothered.

I'm actually on my way to Mississippi right now, but stopped for the night in Huntsville, AL. I'm going back for Sidney's graduation. I've got Uwharrie, and although pricey at the last minute, La Quinta Inns are pet-friendly, for which I'm thankful. Uwharrie is laying on the bed with me, and we just listened to Matt's phone message from the BMT.

Ecology studies the interrelationship between organisms and their environment. It originates from the German word okologie, first used in 1873.

This blog documents one organism's interactions with her environment.
What would be the hope of being personally whole in a dismembered society, or personally healthy in a landscape scalped, scraped, eroded, and poisoned, or personally free in a land entirely controlled by the government [or corporations], or personally enlightened in an age illuminated only by TV? - Wendell Berry
