winter arrives in Marion

In one big gust, all the leaves blew off the trees. I was surprised to discover I had neighbors, not only beside me, but behind me, too. The houses that surround my apartment are mill houses, so compared to the suburbs, it feels like they were built on top of one another, and it makes town feel dense.
