Taiwan photos

On our three-day tour of southern Taiwan, we in the backseat would often observe this interchange, much to our amusement:

Grandma: (nodding off in the passenger seat)
Uncle: (playfully slapping Grandma's arm) Ah-Jin!
Grandma: (starting, snapping back) Dog's mouth!

Grandma's answer was like a reflex. ;-)

To my relatives in Taiwan, Happy Chinese New Year! To Casper specifically, thank you for wishing me that on the way to the airport! Your English is good. :-)

Grant and I have put many of our photos from Taiwan on his Flickr page. Take a look!

Ecology studies the interrelationship between organisms and their environment. It originates from the German word okologie, first used in 1873.

This blog documents one organism's interactions with her environment.
What would be the hope of being personally whole in a dismembered society, or personally healthy in a landscape scalped, scraped, eroded, and poisoned, or personally free in a land entirely controlled by the government [or corporations], or personally enlightened in an age illuminated only by TV? - Wendell Berry
