small, but tangible first steps

The workdays are short in the winter: The air and earth doesn't warm up until after 11am, and once the sun drops behind the trees around 3pm, the temperature plummets. Still, it feels good to be outside and good to be finally building something.

Day 3: Framed the subfloor, started (waterproof layer and aluminum) flashing the bottom.

Day 2: Matt and I picked up subfloor materials and leveled the trailer.

Day 1: Roger helped me tow the trailer to the work site.

Ecology studies the interrelationship between organisms and their environment. It originates from the German word okologie, first used in 1873.

This blog documents one organism's interactions with her environment.
What would be the hope of being personally whole in a dismembered society, or personally healthy in a landscape scalped, scraped, eroded, and poisoned, or personally free in a land entirely controlled by the government [or corporations], or personally enlightened in an age illuminated only by TV? - Wendell Berry
