waiting around for a haircut

Yeah, it's been on the agenda since Waynesboro. I was going to head out of town by late morning, but the hairdresser was so sweet, I decided to wait until she had an opening. And so, Damascus for one more day.

I went into the post office after breakfast and good conversation with Von Moose. The postman looked up and, before I could say anything, asked, "Chin?" Well, how'd he guess? ;-)

He handed me letter after package after letter, and I must've looked stunned. I cradled everything back to "The Place" and read it all on the porch. To everyone, I say thank you, THANK YOU. You made my heart glow.

Ecology studies the interrelationship between organisms and their environment. It originates from the German word okologie, first used in 1873.

This blog documents one organism's interactions with her environment.
What would be the hope of being personally whole in a dismembered society, or personally healthy in a landscape scalped, scraped, eroded, and poisoned, or personally free in a land entirely controlled by the government [or corporations], or personally enlightened in an age illuminated only by TV? - Wendell Berry
