Williams

I'll miss reading the comics in the mornings, but the trail is calling me back. Dave, his mom, and his sister opened up their house to me and took me anywhere I needed to go and let me borrow anything that I didn't have and gave me the go-ahead to raid their fridge. For all that, I am grateful!

Joel and Jaime looked like they were having the greatest time at their wedding, as were we all. I saw Joel briefly before the ceremony: I was walking around the chapel trying to find its entrance when, from above, I hear, "Psst, Lily. I'm getting married!" He had the biggest smile on his face. Congratulations, you two! Mississippi represent!

I went caving with Mike the night before by the quarry in Cheshire. It was pretty awesome. Most of the time, you were on your side and horizontal. There were some spots Mike didn't fit through, and he sent me on ahead until we couldn't hear each other anymore. And then there was one spot where I was coming down head first towards the rocks with no room to maneuver.

"You got me, Mike?" I was laughing and he was laughing.

"Yeah, I got you, but I don't know what to do with you!"

I came out of the cave wearing quite a bit of mud.

Thanks, Dan, for your hospitality all the way from the Atlanta airport. I hope you have a great time in Costa Rica.

The only person I didn't see/talk to this weekend was Ward. But I heard a rumor about ass-tight white jeans, which I've got to see sometime. ;-)

I'd actually not heard of Williams College before Teacher Corps (Purple cows - wha?), but now that I've finally been, I do like your town. :-)

Ecology studies the interrelationship between organisms and their environment. It originates from the German word okologie, first used in 1873.

This blog documents one organism's interactions with her environment.
What would be the hope of being personally whole in a dismembered society, or personally healthy in a landscape scalped, scraped, eroded, and poisoned, or personally free in a land entirely controlled by the government [or corporations], or personally enlightened in an age illuminated only by TV? - Wendell Berry
