pictures from AAA

Sunset right before West Mountain Shelter, NY.

The Walt Whitman statue in the Bear Mountain Trailside Zoo, NY. (Yes, the AT goes through a zoo! AND it's the lowest elevation of the trail.) From left to right: me, AAA, Frindy, and Shadow.

A kind man in Ft. Montgomery, NY gave us a ride back to the trail. That day it had been 94 degrees in the shade. He was an angel to take all four of us smellies with our packs. We rolled down all of his windows to try to help him out!

Ecology studies the interrelationship between organisms and their environment. It originates from the German word okologie, first used in 1873.

This blog documents one organism's interactions with her environment.
