playing cards

Of course I would have the deck with the wild edible plants design!

Liz, I showed my sophomores how to play the game Mafia, and they're going nuts. A few weeks ago, I had introduced Kemps, and now they play it all the time in other teachers' classes. I can't wait for Jedi Knight Training!

It's funny: I didn't think the end of the school year would ever get here -- not until the week prior to state tests. Now that it's May, it's almost going by too quickly; I feel like the days are slipping through my fingers.

I think I'm going to make The Inconvenient Truth my biology final. I've just got to pin down exactly what I'm grading for and write it in a way that they'll succeed at it. Let me sleep on this.

This blog documents one organism's interactions with her environment.
What would be the hope of being personally whole in a dismembered society, or personally healthy in a landscape scalped, scraped, eroded, and poisoned, or personally free in a land entirely controlled by the government [or corporations], or personally enlightened in an age illuminated only by TV? - Wendell Berry
